STRABAG required a specialised solution for their Hartlepool Segment Factory, said to be the most advanced segment factory in the world. The facility featured an exceptionally large and steeply sloped roof presenting significant logistical and safety challenges. The existing coating was failing, so a thorough preparation and a high-performance recoating were needed for long-term durability, backed by a 15-year warranty. Simultaneously, STRABAG sought to enhance the building’s visual appeal, creating a more welcoming environment for clients and visitors.

We addressed these needs with a methodical and safe approach. Utilising a JLG Ultraboom boom lift, our team navigated the challenging roof slope to carefully prepare the surface, removing the failing coating and ensuring a clean, sound substrate. We then applied a premium protective coating, adhering to strict specifications to guarantee durability and longevity. This process not only secured the roof against future weathering but also significantly improved the building’s visual impact.
